United States Department of Agriculture Foreign Agricultural Service (USDA) funds support American softwood market development in overseas markets, specifically at international wood events.
Those funds, provided to the Southern Forest Products Association, APA – The Engineered Wood Association, and the Softwood Export Council under the Foreign Market Development Program and Market Access Program, are used to promote the use of U.S. forest products. Domestic softwood lumber and engineered wood products are marketed generically under the AMSO banner.
